Creativity through AI

Adapting ideas within AI constraints

Creating my AI video with HeyGen was honestly a mix of frustrating and creative at the same time. I originally wanted to do a full dialogue between a strawberry woman and a banana man as a couple going through relationship issues, but I ran into the limitation that only one character could speak. That forced me to switch my approach and turn it into more of a narrated story from the strawberry’s perspective, which actually made it feel more reflective and intentional.

My creative process was really about adapting. I had to think about how to show tension, emotion, and growth without having both characters talk. I focused on small moments, like their morning routine and the way conflict builds, then shifts into communication and resolution.

One of the biggest positives was how easy and fast the platform made everything. I didn’t have to film or edit, but I could still create something that looked polished. At the same time, that ease comes with limits. The characters didn’t feel fully real, and the lack of interaction made the story less dynamic than I originally imagined.

Overall, I learned that AI can help bring ideas to life quickly, but you still have to be flexible and creative to make it actually work.
